    About Us:

    Sorrel is passionate about delivering an elevated cafe and casual restaurant experience and are seeking a experienced Head Chef to lead our dynamic kitchen team.

    Position Overview:

    The Head Chef will oversee all kitchen operations, from staffing and training to menu development and food preparation. We value individuals who excel at creating effective systems and structures rather than merely performing as key players. With ten shifts per week, the ideal candidate will have experience managing a busy kitchen, delegating tasks efficiently, and cooking in a modern style.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including staffing, training, and food preparation.

    - Develop and maintain an innovative, high-quality menu.

    - Ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently during all shifts.

    - Create and enforce systems and structures to enhance kitchen operations.

    - Delegate tasks effectively and foster a collaborative team environment.

    Qualifications:

    - Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Head Chef.
    - At least 3 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, with a background in fine dining or casual gourmet settings.
    - Legal eligibility to work in Germany.

  • Line Chef (PT/FT)

    We’re looking for a line chef to join our kitchen team at Sorrel — someone who can work cleanly, stay organised in a busy service, and take care with the food.

    We cook modern European dishes using good local ingredients, with a focus on seasonality and sharing plates. The food isn’t overcomplicated, but it’s precise and thoughtful. We work closely as a team and expect everyone in the kitchen to take ownership of their section and contribute to the flow of service.

    What We’re Looking For

    Experience in a professional kitchen (you know how to set up a station, handle prep, and work a service)

    Good knife skills and solid fundamentals

    Comfortable working in a small team, communicating clearly, and keeping things moving

    An interest in seasonal cooking and learning more

    Legal right to work in Germany

    Available for either part-time (minimum 3 shifts/week) or full-time (5–6 shifts/week)
